“I have been involved in our community for 25+ years. I know the issues and concerns, the wonderful people, and have the connections, work ethic, and leadership experience to get things done for this riding.”
Since the collapse of BC United on August 28, I have had many, many people in our community reach out and urge me to run as an independent. There are a lot of voters right across BC who feel that on many issues the BC NDP is too far left, and the BC Conservatives are too far right, and that our politics are becoming too polarized.
Maybe it’s time to do politics differently.
This will likely be an historic election – one that may see several independent MLAs get elected, who may hold the balance of power in Victoria. Regardless of who forms government, or what that government looks like, I have always fought for what’s right in our community, and as an independent MLA I will be fully free to petition for Langley-Abbotsford’s best interests.
My heart is overflowing from the love and support I received as I committed myself to our community to represent Langley-Abbotsford as an Independent candidate.
Over the course of the last 10 months I have met many wonderful and dedicated people and organizations who are passionate in addressing the issues, concerns and needs in our community. Ensuring our older adults, unhoused, people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness can live their lives with dignity, knowing they belong and are cared for. Supporting our farmers, protecting our land and waterways, animal welfare, healthcare, affordability, housing, crime, and food security.
There is so much work to do and I am not done! I will continue to serve, support and strengthen my community, and advocate for a better Langley-Abbotsford for all.
